Brent Langbakk was recently named as Orienteering Canada’s new High Performance Director. Below is an article from the Whitehorse Daily Star about Brent’s new role.
Brent is a coach, former national team member, former Athletes’ Representative on Orienteering Canada’s Board of Directors and former Chairperson of the High Performance Committee. These experiences give Brent a unique perspective to help move Orienteering Canada’s high performance program forward. Brent is a great fit with this position because of his extensive coaching background and his in depth understanding of athlete development in orienteering. Brent will be working very closely with Orienteering Canada’s High Performance Committee. Brent lives in Whitehorse, Yukon where he is an active member of the Yukon Orienteering Association. Brent was named Sport Yukon’s Coach of the Year in 2010.
