How did you first get involved in orienteering?
When I was little, I used to be pushed around city park courses in a stroller. When I was able to walk, I insisted on holding the maps (as that’s what people did), and joined FWOC’s junior program when I was six. Since then, I’ve been in love with the sport.
What would a typical week of training look like for you (at a part of the season of your choosing)?
In spring: Monday: swim practice and weight training, followed by orienteering (longer run); Tuesday: swim practice; Wednesday: swim practice, orienteering city event; Thursday: running intervals, followed by dryland and swim practice; Friday: swim practice and weight training; Saturday: swim practice in the morning, and two hours of orienteering (technical) in the afternoon; Sunday: sprint (city park) orienteering in the morning.
