Other ways to donate to Orienteering Canada
Donations may be directed to a specific Orienteering Canada program or for the general use of the organization in ongoing operations and programs. Please read our donation policy regarding fundraising by provincial and territorial associations and their member clubs.
Orienteering Canada is a Canadian Registered Amateur Athletic Association, remedy as defined under the Income Tax Act, order and as such is able to issue tax receipts to people (individuals and corporations) making donations to the organization. The donor may then claim a tax credit on filing of their income tax return in the amount of the donation.
The Canada Customs and Revenue Agency tax registration number for Orienteering Canada is 892218165RR0001.
Tax receipts will be sent for all donations of $10 or greater. Please ensure that you send your complete name and address when paying by PayPal if you require a receipt.
A little bit of not so fine print: Under provisions of the Income Tax Act (Canada), the Orienteering Canada cannot issue income tax receipts for donations that are expressly or impliedly conditional on the association of making a gift or donation to a specified person.
